YMCAs Are Benefiting from CCC & Big Marlin Group Collaboration
Online class and program registration, account and donation management, digital form submission, and membership sales. These are just some of the features being made available to YMCAs through a joint initiative of CCC and Big Marlin Group – Digital Counter.
Introducing Digital Counter
The name Digital Counter is new on the scene, but the custom API it represents is not. Big Marlin Group initially released this online scheduling tool as My Schedule Planner (MSP) for a YMCA out of Texas. It has been in use for some time, providing online registration capabilities and increasing membership and program registration revenue. The recent upgrade of MSP to MSP 2.0 or Digital Counter allows for even more online capabilities like digital account management, balance and childcare payments, scheduling programs for a variety of users in one session, and applying gift certificates, vouchers, and coupons all in a convenient, user- and marketing-friendly environment. Digital Counter also allows for online pledge and donation payments all in the same transaction.
Although there are similar apps available, none provide the user-friendly experience provided by Digital Counter. Users can login into their family account and complete registrations for multiple members of the family and multiple classes, without having to logout and re-enter the process like other programs. Digital Counter also provides a full view of the offerings available, both current and future, where competitors generally show current activities only. The fact that the app is also mobile friendly, where others aren’t, caters to the growing majority of mobile-access users.
The comprehensive nature of the API combined with ease of use to deliver a superior experience to the user. Access to information remains visible on the sidebar at all times – pricing, events, locations, classes – there is no backtracking to try and move to different area of the application. As with everything today, the easier it is to use, the easier it will be to grow an organization’s user base and reap the benefits of the application – greater efficiency, lower administrative costs and increased sales.
